Produced between 1955 and 1959, the Rolex Submariner ref. 6536/1 is the heir to the historical Submariner ref. 6536 and ref. 6538, also known as ‘Big Crown’. It is distinguished by its smaller crown: 6 mm, compared to the previous diameter of 8 mm.
Today, this model is one of the most sought-after vintage Submariner references, thanks to the 37 mm diameter of its stainless steel Oyster case. Made extremely desirable by the excellent condition of the case and dial, as well as the bezel insert, which still has the typical red triangle clearly visible, it is also distinguished by its perfectly preserved and legible gilded graphics and the retro-vintage charm of its rivet bracelet.
