The post-war period saw the peak
of Cartier's creativity. With the aim of excelling in the high-end jewellery market,
the company immediately focused on the highest quality finishes,
with a style sometimes influenced by exotic motifs,
combined with materials of great value.
The links between the world of Egypt were strong, There were strong
links with the Egyptian world, and the floral shapes,
with their simplicity and grace, became
distinctive of the most elegant ladies.

This wristwatch with a platinum case
adorned with diamonds is a fine example of the Art Deco style
and testifies to Cartier's innovation in
the 1920s. Designed according to
extraordinary quality criteria, this Art Deco
platinum watch is exceptionally well preserved
despite the passage of time. The platinum Dog Head mark
on the outside of the case back is clear; the
movement, belonging to the European Watch and Clock category,
is perfectly consistent with
the period. The case features hand-engraved numbers
both inside and outside. Finally, on the case back,
there is an engraving of a date, with three initials, which
attest to the age of the watch.
